Annina's lab explores nerve function, nerve injury, and neuropathic pain through a broad range of clinical and laboratory-based approaches. Through their research, the group seek a better understanding of, and treatments for, complex pain conditions such as whiplash, Morton's neuroma, carpal tunnel syndrome, and sciatica.   Alongside working clinically as an oncology specialist in private practice, Lucy has a strong clinical interest in neuropathic pain and works most of the week as the study coordinator for FORECAST - a prognostic factors study collecting the richest, most deeply phenotyped, dataset to date on acute/sub-acute sciatica to identify factors which may predict who will go on to develop persistent pain.
